An environment for all
We say no to AI data centers and all corporate polluters. Intel’s tax breaks have rolled over farmland, destroyed our forests, and poisoned our water. We will continue to take the fight to Intel while preparing for what comes after. Working together, we win a Green New Deal for Oregon that makes historic investments into public transportation, clean energy, and green union jobs.
The record
In our first term, we scored major victories against corporate polluters:
- We won $38 million a year for habitat restoration and to protect endangered species.
- We won the integration of Climate Science education into our schools’ curriculums.
- We stopped large energy users (like data centers) from offloading costs onto us.
The plan
Our Green New Deal for Oregon will build on our fight to protect the planet:
- We will win a moratorium on data center expansion.
- We will win massive investments in buses and trains that run on renewable energy.
- We will win investments into renewable energy sources like wind and solar.
- We will create green union jobs that include a just transition for workers.
